We see them in almost every medium. The Bra is one of the most visible pieces of lingerie yet no one knows much about them. Hopefully this page will help you find the right one that you love, and help you keep your bra in tip top condition.
Let's start off with brands. I prefer Maidenform to almost anything. I think that they're a great value for what you get, and they don't look bad either. If I can't find a Maidenform, then I'll try to find a Bali, which are just the best and is what I have on right at this moment. Below is a list of popular brands in descending order.
The Maidenform and Bali sites are really super. The Bali page has everything one needs to know (and things you don't) about the fit, and the care of bras. It is estimated that 75% of American women are wearing the wrong sized bras. There is even a size calculator that will help you find the right size for you.
OK I probably missed a lot of popular brands, but right now those are the ones that I have in my dresser, or rather on the hanger. More about that later on. There is a place I'm pretty impressed with called Lady Grace Lingerie that carries almost every major brand and large sizes for big women.
Now that you know what to look for, why not trot down to the local thrift shop and look through thier selection. You might find a little gold. The Lady Grace website will help you find what you're looking for, and soon you'll be like me, a very discerning person in the ways of lingerie.
Ok, now that you have your new bra, the question becomes what to put in it. I've found the best breast form known to the planet. They are called Curves and they're the greatest. I wouldn't say so if I didn't wear them myself. They cost about $100 but will last till the sun burns out if you take care of them, and that's as easy as washing them in soap and water. You don't have to spend $600 just to get a good look.
Curves actually are breast enhancers made for women who have small breasts, or whose breasts have changed thier appearance as a result of pregnancy. They come in small, medium, large and extra large, and generally add 1 cup size to what you already have. Curves is a TG/TS friendly company, so don't feel like you're invading some private space reserved just for women. I would rather see someone buy Curves than to purchase from a lingerie or surgical supply store, who may not be all that TG friendly.
Bras need to be cared for. You can't just toss them into the washer and hope for the best. Some brands will have you hand wash them. You really want to avoid that. I like the ones you can pop into the washer. However, YOU MUST NEVER PUT A BRA INTO THE DRYER. I cannot say this loud enough. You will destroy that bra you love faster than Richard Petty drives, I mean fast. The heat does something to the rubber and soon it just falls apart. Instead put them on a hangar and let them air dry. They will like you for that, and You will have bras that will last a lifetime. I've been dressing for a long time and this is the sum of my experience.
Some of my favorites are as I mentioned, the Maidenform 9700, and Bali Silk Reflections. I think they're just dreamy. The one that I'm wearing is a Bali as well, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what model munber it is. You get that when you shop at thrift stores. It is bright purple and really nice. I like it a lot, and the best thing is it only cost me one dollar.
So that's all I have to say on this. I welcome your comments as always. Please feel free to send me some fe-mail on this or anything. Just Click here and I'll answer you.
Be sweet!!!
