Today I went to the UM Botanical Gardens and bought a Venus fly trap. I've decided to name it? Suggestions?

Audrey Junior is either cliche or cute, depending on your circle of friends. =}
Tiger.
Audrey Junior? I don't even get it.
("Audrey" was the name of the plant in The Little Shop of Horrors.)
How about the totally mundane and obvious "Venus"?
I think the name was Audrey II.
They sell venus fly traps? interesting. Perhaps I should buy a whole herd. Call it Raul.
I'd suggest "Dick Cheney".
How about "Tim Reid"?
Spot.
Grendel or Gilgamesh.
"Untrap" or "Free" ?
"Milo".
Serena. (There aer a pair of sisters who are professional tennis players; Venus and Serena Williams.)
I vote for "Milo" too.
I read #10 as "Grendel OF Gilgamesh".
Bambi
Tullio
Teemu
#3-5: I don't know about the musical, but in the original Corman flick (with Jack Nicholson in an early role as the dental patient), the plant was named Audrey Junior. The florist's daughter was named Audrey.
Bob
bob bob bo ob banana fana fo fob me my mo mob bob Lets do, Paul!
oo he'd like that.
<laughter>
Baalzebub Gaea Golgotha
(Personally, I prefer "Baalzebul" to "Baalzebub")
"Bugcrist".
Of course it doesn't matter what you call it -- it's not going to come when you call.. <rimshot>
I'm seriously thinking "Chewy", unless I come up with something better soon.
Chewy? Like as in "Chewbacca"?
Goldblum. (as in Jeff)
My Venus flytraps always died.
/agrees with #8
How about Fluffy?
yes, Chewy as in Chewbacca. I'm looking for a nice double meaning, or a not too repulsive pun.
No real double meaning, but if you decide your fly-trap seems feminine, you could go with "Aphrodite"..
How about Little Green Goblin'?
The earlier-suggested "Milo" works in the same way as "Aphrodite".
(yeah, but when I think "Milo" I picture a little boy who runs around accompanied by a dog with a clock in his torso..)
Hi anna. It's mary i just told my mom about your plant and that you were asking for suggestions for a name for your plant. My mom suggests "gypsie"
