UM2THDR amused me once I figured it out.

(A dentist who graduated from U of M)

#6 of 134 by eskarina on Wed Mar 27 02:23:11 2002:

A plate with a block S at the left with "PARTY" after that.

#7 of 134 by mcnally on Wed Mar 27 03:40:38 2002:

Saw a presumably unique-to-the-Northwest bumper sticker on a car
  the other day:

       "I'm Pro-Salmon and I vote"

#8 of 134 by other on Wed Mar 27 04:24:36 2002:

I'm pro-salmon. Preferably smoked or cold-cured. Mmmmm!

#9 of 134 by other on Wed Mar 27 04:25:09 2002:

err. cured or cold-smoked. <boggle>

#10 of 134 by tsty on Wed Mar 27 23:34:35 2002:

re 7 - it sure wasn't a bumper sticker in india, right?

#11 of 134 by orinoco on Thu Mar 28 14:59:27 2002:

Uh, looks like you're a day late and a vowel short.

#12 of 134 by omni on Fri Mar 29 00:38:43 2002:

I plan to attend the Pow Wow this weekend at Crisler Arena, and will be
looking for Native American Nation license plates in the parking lot.

Stay tuned.

#15 of 134 by brighn on Fri Mar 29 22:30:42 2002:

MI plates: SRNDPIT and OBDIENT
The latter was on a Mercedez, and my first thought was, "Oh, I wonder what
Master drives...". Then it occurred to me that she was probably thanking Jesus
for rewarding her faith with a Benz.

#16 of 134 by oval on Fri Mar 29 22:36:13 2002:

#20 of 134 by orinoco on Mon Apr 1 20:36:02 2002:

Saw LINGAM again on my way to school. On a new black sports car. Cracks me
up every time.

#21 of 134 by mcnally on Mon Apr 1 22:07:03 2002:

Just goes to show that the folks who get overwrought about the threat
of suggestive or obscene license plates aren't the best informed when
  it comes to other cultures..

#22 of 134 by tsty on Mon Apr 1 23:03:50 2002:

BOB BUG guess whta brand car

#23 of 134 by tpryan on Mon Apr 1 23:05:10 2002:

Saw EMU 001 standard configuartion on a car in Ypsilanti.
Chance?
Saw RYOOHKI earlier today in Ann Arbor. Could it be Rookie?
Next to it at the stop light was JONNI.

#24 of 134 by other on Tue Apr 2 00:51:11 2002:

BIOTECH

PHTGRFR

(both MI)

#25 of 134 by gelinas on Tue Apr 2 04:03:34 2002:

RYOOHKI could also be an alternative spelling of Ryukyu, the island chain that
includes Okinawa.

#26 of 134 by anderyn on Tue Apr 2 12:20:00 2002:

This response has been erased.

#27 of 134 by gelinas on Tue Apr 2 14:33:06 2002:

The cabbit is more likely, I'd guess.

#28 of 134 by krj on Wed Apr 3 19:28:47 2002:

Michigan plate: B88B88B

#29 of 134 by morwen on Wed Apr 3 21:44:00 2002:

We actually saw a car with two Washington state licence plates.

Any explanation?

#30 of 134 by gelinas on Thu Apr 4 02:28:29 2002:

They liked the old one too much to give it up?

I saw what _looked_ like a Michigan 'bridge' plate on the front of a car:
        U OF M #1
It lacked the bridge, though. The rear plate was a normal bridge plate.

Yesterday, we saw the Michigan plate BAT FAN.

#31 of 134 by morwen on Thu Apr 4 09:27:06 2002:

Well, this car had two different license plates on the back. I didn't
get to see the front.

#32 of 134 by tsty on Sat Apr 6 07:05:48 2002:

what? ar you pregnant?

#33 of 134 by jaklumen on Sat Apr 6 10:42:56 2002:

She is, but this was weird. The car had a license plate in the usual
spot, and then another plate bolted onto the frame (trunk) just above
it. Had DLR on the side by the number.

#34 of 134 by jaklumen on Sat Apr 6 10:43:13 2002:

different numbers, too.

#35 of 134 by jmsaul on Sat Apr 6 13:28:45 2002:

You sure that one was bolted on? Sounds likea dealer who hadn't gotten the
original plate off yet, but slapped one of their magnetic plate holders on
in the meantime.

#36 of 134 by morwen on Sat Apr 6 17:07:09 2002:

Could be. I don't know. It just seemed wierd to me at the time.
