Grex Agora41 Item 260: JIHAD AGAINST GREX!
Entered by ric on Thu Jun 13 02:40:12 UTC 2002:

JIHAD AGAINST GREX!

In my infinite capacity as speaker for all M-Netters, I hearby declare a JIHAD
against Grex.

35 responses total.

#1 of 35 by ric on Thu Jun 13 02:40:31 2002:

Presumably, this includes FATWA ON ALL GREXERS! Or at least, their leaders.

#2 of 35 by rcurl on Thu Jun 13 02:53:21 2002:

Yummy. I'll have my fatwa on a roll with mustard and relish.

#3 of 35 by twinkie on Thu Jun 13 06:22:14 2002:

Listen here, ric...I had to tell jor to go fuck himself for speaking for
others...don't make me have to tell you in terms you'll certainly be receptive
to.

Here's a hint: Eat _ Bag of _________

#4 of 35 by clees on Thu Jun 13 06:27:21 2002:

Jihad against grex means a jihad against an institution, not people. I
reckon M-net goes to court. Does it have a case?

#5 of 35 by jmsaul on Thu Jun 13 06:52:36 2002:

Nah, we'll just invade the Netherlands.

Oh, I see. We call Jamie an asshole on mnet and it's okay, but God
forbid they should call him an asshole on Grex, it's jihad time. I
see. Very nice.

#8 of 35 by scott on Thu Jun 13 12:11:26 2002:

Bring on the suicide bombers! Who'll be first? Twinkie or jp2?

Re 7 When did we *ever* say you couldn't call Jamie an asshole? When?

#11 of 35 by jmsaul on Thu Jun 13 13:22:18 2002:

Really. Feel free.

#12 of 35 by twinkie on Thu Jun 13 13:25:30 2002:

Yes, by all means. We've been doing it for years!

polytarp seems a likely candidate for suicide bomber. Jp2 and twinkie aren't
insane enough.

re: 14
My ego prevents me from being a suicide bomber.

That's not to say it prevents me from *recruiting* suicide bombers...

How about suicide spamming, instead? this IS a computer system...

#25 of 35 by jaklumen on Thu Jun 13 20:34:23 2002:

Hey, I don't know. Some people would say 'suicide' and 'spam' in the
same sentence would be self-explanatory, but maybe we've got to add
Cheez-Whiz first.

resp:21 Be Peter Pan, Jamie! Never grow up! Hey man, you can FLY!
Hmmm, speaking of resp:17, you got "fairydust" drug into this. Gotta
lay off the Tinkerbell, man, it's addictive.

#26 of 35 by jor on Thu Jun 13 20:44:17 2002:

        suicide packets, small TTL

do i count as a leader, or am i merely a figurehead?

#29 of 35 by bhelliom on Fri Jun 14 17:11:32 2002:

You're the puppet dictator installed by right-wing anti communists who
just so happen to like dinner theater.

#30 of 35 by jaklumen on Fri Jun 14 18:38:04 2002:

So much for bread and water circuses.

#31 of 35 by jerrold1 on Sat Jun 15 09:37:26 2002:

Yes the notion of a Jihad against Grex is bewildering --- from whom do the
Fatwas flow? What o.s. are halal and which not? Whom are the descendants
of the Great Turing --- the holy prophet ???? From what Holy Book do we draw
the Sharia ----??? A heavy thing this call to provoke our jihadis for
... for ... what? GNU? Open Source? Are we in the line of the awesome and
frightening RMS or the gentle and humourous Torvalds? Do we have the the
patience of Volkerding?, the arguable acuity of Hubbard? Whence hence brethre
n? No I think that since we discuss this on the Back of Grex we must honour
Grex and direct Gnuish holy war against worthy opposition....but whom?

#32 of 35 by remmers on Sun Jun 16 13:49:01 2002:

Heathen! You failed to mention Alonzo Church!

#33 of 35 by other on Sun Jun 16 17:09:30 2002:

re #29: Dinner Theater?! That hurts!

#34 of 35 by janc on Wed Jun 19 13:14:31 2002:

I thought Grex board meetings *were* dinner theater.

#35 of 35 by bhelliom on Thu Jun 20 20:51:53 2002:

<giggles>

Does that mean I never ever get to catch a ride on your motorcycle
again? :(
