I'm not sure if I should be flattered or insulted that I was left off the list.

Add jp2 to that list.
Maybe Jamie should join Mensa, so people have to pass a test before they interact with him.
The people in MENSA are about as exciting.
I thought they were quite dull, so I let my membership lapse.
DENSA.
And once again, Jamie brings into his personal playground, where namecalling is the chief means of winning friends and influencing third- graders. Jamie, how many times do I have to tell you? Wipe your feet before you come into the house!

You presume incorrectly. I was not focusing on strictly correct grammatical form (although I unintentionally left out the word 'us,' making the form more incorrect than I had planned), but rather on conveying the feeling engendered by this item. BZZZZT! Incorrect. Try again some other time.
Well. Maybe I should write a short bus song.
BZZZZT! is not a sentence.
SENTENCE!
"SENTENCE!" is not a sentence.

ya, so drop it.
It's not a correct sentence in traditional written English, but it's
grammatically correct in colloquial spoken English, which is the sense I
assume it was meant in.

yep, bullies vs. scapes. That is *so* it.
#22> I disagree, and has the MA in Linguistics to back up my claim. Your credentials, sir?

You interpret incorrectly. The purpose of language is to communicate effectively, and to identify group membership. Any communicative signals which do both of those things are correct.
Jamie's been brooding over losing the Grex election. Every once in a while his resentment spills over, is all. He ran as a joke on Grex and then got all offended that nobody voted for him. It's that sort of thing that makes him so much fun to have around.
I'd've voted for him, but (a) I'm not a member and (b) I still have my frontal lobes.
I'd rather have this bottle in front of me than.. a frontal lobotomy!
(Love that song, ric. :)

#33> Because, wile an effectively communicated message may include the message, "I belong to group X" or "I don't belong to group X," this particular message seems particularly salient in the way people use language, and tends to be brought up most often as a non-communicative event by people who don't realize it's a communicative event. It needn't be singled out.

Well, people like you would think that way...

If you're going to let that one go, you don't really see my point. The "people like you" was a joke, in this context...
