I think a 5 star restaurant starts with a famous chef.

Or you could become a famous chef. Faking is probably easier, though less sure.
I'd advise coming up with a name that's French. "Jamie's Bar and Grille" does not have the flair, drama and obscurity of something in French.

As usual Jamie shows his ignorance every time he tries to look smart. A real top-end restaurant would be a 4 star restaurant, as reviewed by the Michelin Travel Guide. But anyway, the answer is "service". Perfect service, in addition to the perfect food. The second time you dine there they know your name and quirks, and are happy to indulge.

It will be interesting to see what becomes of jp2 in the real world where, unlike here, people who have some authority over him, such as bosses and customers, will find out what a jerk he is.

Yeah, but it's very hard to get elected by telling voters how stupid they are, even if you're right...
Now, telling them how CRIMINAL they are, on the other hand....

ACtually, scott is entirely incorrect. 5 stars or 5 diamonds is the rating to strive for. Screw michelin. Here is a list of 2002 5 Diamond restaurants according to AAA: http://www.aaa.com/news12/Diamonds/02fivediarest.htm Mobile also gives out an exclusive 5 star rating to restaurants and lodging. http://exxonmobiltravel.com As seen in these articles: Las Vegas restaurants earn coveted five-star rating http://www.cnn.com/2000/FOOD/news/01/14/mobile.guide/ Dining delicacies at five-star restaurants http://www.usatoday.com/life/travel/dining/2001/2001-07-18-competition.htm Six New Mobil Five-Star Winners - 33 Fewer Mobil Four-Star Winners http://www.hotel-online.com/Neo/News/PressReleases1999_1st/Jan99_Mobil.html
re11: as tod said, be careful not to spill their coffee, gopher-boy. and don't *save the dress*.
Jamie, to further research this project, I think we should take a field trip to the Inn at Little Washington. YOur treat. And, I've had your chili and your brownies. Ok - you chili is Cinci style chili and is quite good. Honestly. Your brownies? Sweetie - they were 1/2" thick, if that, as you had apparently eaten half the batter.
Hmm. Can I have the recipe for the chili?
It's in the food cf on m-net, in the ietem where I'm soliciting recipes.
Whoa. I think I owe you a recipe from months back...
You do. But I wasn't going to be bitchy about it.
You maybe should have. I'll go find my Szechuan cookbook...
