It's not like she's going to be rounded up and put in a camp..
(Unless, perhaps, if she keeps saying "pop" instead of "soda".)

Happy birthday, Anne! Your first as a non-Perry. I hope this doesn't
get too popular.

Yeah, we wouldn't want the numerous Perrys on Grex to all become
non-Perrys...

response 96 of 563: Mark Unseen   Jan 12 13:29 UTC 2006

Some might say the Perrys are a crucial component of Grexers. I myself
think it wouldn't be the same at all without them.

Thank you thank you. :)

John, no worries, the name Perry is still attached to me- just changed
into a middle name. ;) My older brother commented that it was my first
birthday as a Nelson. Which still does seem somewhat weird.

IHB after spending a long day of banging my head on the problem, I
finally figured out how to make a login session work properly across
separate pages in PHP. It was especially challenging because it was the
first day I'd ever tried to write any PHP code.

For my next trick, I may actually succeed in properly compiling Apache
on a Linux box so that the alias module works. This has been a problem
due to never having touched a Linux box before and never having compiled
a program before. So far, I have Apache working but not the alias
module, and all the right lines appear to be uncommented in the default
httpd.conf file.

(You should enter an item somewhere documenting how you did it. Others
might find it interesting...I know I would as I'm about to start working
on something like that in PHP)

IHB I've finally upgraded my home mail server to openbsd3.8 and
retired the poor 6gig microdrive that was serving as its main disk
in favor of an 80gig ide drive. What got into me to run a production
server on a disk designed for digital cameras is hard to explain...

re resp:102 - Only be last name.

IHB- it's Friday. I don't mind my job, and I really like the people I
work with- but I'm so glad it's Friday. Tomorrow the hubby and I are off
to see my older bro and his wife, and their puppies! :)
