The question, Greg, is whether you'd dye a 23 year old if you were dating
her....

I don't think I have a hard-and-fast age limit right now (other than 16), but
I don't seem much interested in people under 23 or so.

Generally my rule is no one under 18, although when I was interested in
Bree she was 17. However, I am usually more attracted to people who
are older than I am.

Nobody under 23, and they *must* have life experience (i.e. paying rent,
working at least 25 hours a week, some school or a desire to go to school...)

I think the Bree you know from commie is someone else, Greg. (But yeah, I'd
dye her...)

Re # 11: You wouldn't have known this Bree, Greg, as she lives in
Northville.

I may have already mentioned this, but I don't date co-workers: too
dangerous.

Stuff happens on accident. Maybe not on accident, but it generally doesn't
happen when you plan for it. I met my dude on Yahoo personals, I was looking
through it for kicks and grins.

I don't date. I hate dating. It's stupid.

If someone's mate material, I'll find out through friendship. The cornerstone
to a relationship should be friendship, anyway; so why bother going through
the motions of dating when you can just make friends. If something evolves
out of friendship, it's has more potential for longevity. If you remain
friends and no relationship occurs, than what have you lost?

Sounds like you mean something different by "dating" than I do, arianna.

It's almost always too random to apply to a system. I like it that way.

(Are kicks and grins more or less entertaining than shits and giggles?)

"Dating" does seem to be a word that's expanding to fill all available space.
It seems to center around "met him for coffee a few times, we've fooled around
a little, I kind of like him," but I've heard it mean anywhere from "I talked
to him once and now he won't stop calling me" to "I haven't gotten around to
proposing marriage yet, but give me a few weeks."

Yeah 17! You totally think like I do. Dating sucks! Power to the people who
hate random people!

I have to say that I don't "hate" dating, but I have found it extremly
stressful and at times uncomfortable, so I'm not that fond of it either. At
this point in my life, though, the main problem seems to be just getting a
chance to meet new people. I agree that long term relationships should be on
a more solid base than "the sex that we had that first night was great , so
I'll stick around and see how the rest goes" sort of basis. As I said, its
the meeting of those new people to make new friends that has me stumped..

by the way, just what is "Ring of Steel"?

Ummm...let's see....a tube-like round of extremely hard metal...

Sorry...couldn't resist. :)

Ring of Steel is a stage fencing group.

Jeez, you'd think after two or three years of not playing with them, I'd have
gotten over that reflex.

I used to fence, Ring of Steel is definately not fencing (although it
is in our reparte (sp?)). We prefer to call it Action Theatre or
Theatrical Combat and Stunt Troupe.

But if you really want to find out, there is a Free Demonstration
coming up next month. Look to rialto for details.

Actually, most of our martial arts based moves are based on Aikido.

I thought aikido was one of the more recently developed martial arts? So how
can most others be based on it?
