They tend to apply constraints to the choice of word. I would not
select a pre-guessed word (unless I had to "go"...), and tend to
select a word such that all pre-emptive guesses = 0.

Not only that, what if signet's choice of word were based on:
inter 4 (lastword)
You'd be "silly" to guess without having that knowledge. There may not be
anything in the "rules" about guessing before the winner has acknowledged
his/her winning, and started the process anew, but it doesn't seem like
the right way to play the game...
