Steve, pockets are not an option.. I carry my asthma drugs everywhere I go, and
the inhalers are too big. Plus I think pickpockets, or my stuff falling out.

Where can one get a money belt? I almost never wear belts. Uncomfy.

A money belt is more akin to a waist pouch (those little modified
backpavk things) than to a leather "hold your trousers up" belt. It's
designed to lie flat against your body, though, so that it isn't obvious
under reasonable clothes.

There's also the traveller's wallet (hangs around your neck UNDER your
clothes), but that may be equally uncomfy.

A note about those travellers wallets -- if you sling it down your back,
be sure to tuck your shirt into your trousers.

A while ago, a friend was telling me that it's better to carry your wallet
in your front pocket, because then your pocket can't be picked and it doesn't
cause back problems.

That's what my dad does, and it works, but he looks really silly with this
square worn out spot in all his old jeans. That, and on any of the tighter
women's jeans, front pockets aren't a) big enough, and b) easy enough to get
into.

So don't wear tight jeans, silly. :)

I've always carried my wallet in my front pocket. It seems to work a lot
better with jeans-type pockets (near-horizontal opening) than with dress-
pants-type pockets (near-vertical opening designed to feed hungry couches).
Even with loose pants, it's very hard to get the wallet out sitting down,
the look is definitely more "utilitarian" than "sharp" (esp. with a big
ring of keys, etc. on the other front pocket), and the wear pattern on
blue denim is quite distinctive.

My experience (in men's pants) is that there's a great deal of variation
in front pocket geometry from brand to brand. Shop around. Ask the mail
order places (LL Bean, Lands' End, etc.) if you can talk to their specialty
experts about pockets, etc.

To some degree it's my gender, to some degree it's my age, to some degree
it's my attitude, but given a choice between disfunctional good looks and
utilitarian silly looks, I go with the practical choice. Your feelings may
differ. (Hopefully you're not too constrained by corporate dress codes...)

WEll, that's what my backpack's for.

A daypack usually does the trick for me, as you know.
My wallet however, is fitted/jammed rather, into my front pocket of my jeans.
The reason is obvious in my eyes: pickpockets won't like to grope around my
genitals. Firstly I am the first to notice, and secondly tightfitting jeans
make it even more difficult to deal with.
Val, finding fitting jeans wouldn't be too hard for you, would it?
I've seen you at abchan's site, and I can tell, there are lots of
possibilities. But you remark of jabbing intothe connection between upper body
and leg (the name of that body part I do not know here) can be painful at
tmes. It mhas a point. Besides, it looks rather silly on me, for I have got
my father's broad hips and a wallet just adds to it.

Yeah, I have seen your picture there, along with a lot of other grexers.
For me as a far away foreigner it served as a perfect way to picture the
people I am conferencing with. Or was it Llanarth's? Not I am not so sure
anymore...
(me and my sieve for a brain).
I just checked, it was Llanarth. Sorry.
So you are not tall, that doesn't matter, does it?
Business clothes could, though, be hard to be found when you are always
refered to the girl's section of Marks and Spencers (or K-mart) in the States,
unless you have got class.

Valerie definitely has class -- but I'll bet she gets pointed at the
"girls" section at K-Mart and Sears anyway, just because clothes outside
the 5'4"-5'7"; 110-130 pound category are always hard to find in the US
unless you shop specialty stores.

for the confusion>

It's not the looks that may confuse me, but the psuedos.
I wouldn't say I am dislexic, but this double a confused me a trifle.
Besides I have never met either of you, so there you go.
sorry for mixing up..

Depends on the person also.
Not to be blunt or offensive, but some stick, others don't so much.

Well, there are some people for whom I can remember most things they've said,
even though I haven't met them.
And then there are some who I can't remember what they said but their name
sounds familiar.
And then, the blur...
