Well, I don't have a sore thumb. I am, however, more out of shape than
either of you. And I'm stiff today.

I'm the definition of out of shape. I haven't exercised adequately since I
was concieved.

Well, I was in shape when I was 21, but that's been a while.

Bowling usually makes me *really* sore, and though I'm not in top
fighting shape these days, I'm pretty close.

I did end up going bowling the other day, and while my, ah, left buttock was
a little sore the next day, I was otherwise fine.

the only injuries I usually suffer while bowling are a sore thumb, and
sometimes a sore elbow, if I accidentally lock my elbow on a backswing.

How was the Grex Bowling Expedition? Who had the high score? What was
the high score? (trying to figure out if I'd be totally out of my
element if I bowled in one once I get back in town)

I think jep had the high score; my best was something like 152; others were
around 70 or 80. No, you won't be out of your league.

I had the low score. It was something really pitiful, like 28 or something.

My high score was 160, but my low score was 95. No one was much
concerned with scores.

Dangit, John, let me be proud of my low score!!!

It was a terrific low score, for sure.

Sorry I forgot to follow through on the next bowling outing. No one said
they could make it yesterday, so I didn't try to go - but I should have
followed through.

So maybe weekends are better after all. I can't do Saturday this weekend,
but I could do Sunday again. Anyone else up for Sunday (the 28th)?

Will a 4 month old baby in a stroller be welcome? Chris Ross and I
will probably be able to make it Sunday.

Yes, I could come Sunday. I think I could go most any time that day,
as a matter of fact. Cubs again, Mark, or did you want to try another
bowling alley?

response 89 of 217: Mark Unseen   Apr 26 02:04 UTC 2002

Let's say Cubs again, since we know they work well on weekends. We'll try
the other one soon.

I think I am going to cry. Bowling and count twists. I am homesick!!

Maybe we can bring folks out to Ten Pin Alley when you're in town.
It's a nice place, and had a lot of open lanes when I took my son there
last weekend on Sunday. I don't think anyone was smoking. It was
really hot inside, like Cubs was when Grex went there last time; I'm
sure that's connected to the existence of the bar in the place. (If
you're hot you'll presumably drink.)

Cubs on Sunday sounds good. What time are you thinking about, Mark?

2:00 again? Any objections?
jep
response 93 of 217: Mark Unseen   Apr 26 19:45 UTC 2002

That sounds good to me! I might sneak over to the bar occasionally and
check on the score of the baseball game, though.

We should get a group together to go to the ballpark sometime.

Carol would also like to go to a Hens game in Toledo sometime.

I've seen one minor league game; a Lansing Lugnuts game last week. I'd
like to go to see a Mud Hens game someday. I'm not even sure what it
costs, though.

But this is the bowling item! Is anyone going but Mark and I?

I dunno; with the regatta next weekend, the kids may want to spend time on
the water this weekend. Only question is how much time.
