Sorry, rcurl, I don't think I should accept 'synch'. There is a
similar word 'sync' which is an informal shortened form of
synchronism, synchronize, etc. I'd accept that if it were 5 letters.
If others believe that I'm being too picky, I'll relent and respond.

My dictionary gives sync and synch as equivalent "clipped" forms. Just
found two more dictionaries that give both as equivalent (and two that
don't give either!).
