Re #67, you stated 0 for glory when it should have been 1. Threw me off as
I had the a, r, and y figured but than glory being 0 would have disqualified
both the r and y. Oops.

Make that glory should have been 2.

At least by the time I saw it, it said 2 for "glory".

For the sake of anyone who wants to use it, I've created an awk script to
check for matches. (I did this after I made a mistake.) To run it, from
a unix shell prompt enter
awk -f /u/davel/match.awk
(and, of course, the output may be redirected to a file). It will prompt
you for the match word (that's the one everyone's trying to guess) and
then for a succession of words & usernames. It will generate lines of the
general form we've been posting.
Respond with a control-D or a single period to end entry.

Okay, new word begins now:

I am thinking of a 5-letter word.

[whoa:I'm confused:
  throw 0 = no O
  dream 0 = no M or E
  start 0 = no S
  quack 0 = no U
  and yet: mouse = 3?!
did I miss something really important, like the start of a new game?! Help!

What you missed is that the letter has to be in the CORRECT PLACE for it
to count.
