Caveat: Free-Nets are undergoing a revolution in thinking about their
mission and survival as this whole connectivity thing evolves. Grex
may be one of the few real "freenets" left, soon. NPTN, the overseeer ?
of the Free-Net movement has had a gut-wrenching re-evaluation of itself
in the last few weeks/months. "Grex in a Box" might have more meaning.
Grex in a Box might well transfer to other cultures and locales. I like
the idea. Free-Nets are not your fathers access point anymore.

I don't think you could put a Grex in a Box. Not unless you ship a Steve in
each carton. Grex requires a continuous infusion of fairly high-grade
expertise to keep running smoothly.

Well, we do have enough Steves to sell several of these things...

The whole point would be a package that isn't quite Grex, and is very
specifically limited so as to be easy to run.

I meant STeve, but certainly he should have a Duena. Remmers, rcurl, chelsea,
the entire Grex board and staff, and of course, *adbarr* should join him
on the 747. Er, how was that bank balance again? Then, of course, we have
to include his entire family, extended, of course.

We just include files of all previous cfs, and any time someone enters a
response, the code searches for an appropriate prior rejoinder...in effect,
cloning not only the Box, but the Contents.
