I agree almost completely with Marcus. The members run Grex for the benefit
of the members. What these members have decided is that by offering a great
deal of what we are (as members) paying for, for free to anyone, we are able
to attract new users, and ultimately new members.
I believe that if we as members could not derive some benefit from the
attraction of new users to grex that comes from all of these free services,
that we'd hardly want to see our money spent that way. Fortunately, most if
not all members see this benefit and continue to support giving away most of
what is available on Grex to all. This is altruistic, but at the same time,
Grex gains, too, so it is not purely so.

And not only does Grex gain new members, but grex gains new voices, new
opinions, and new people. These are important to Grex too, because Grex is
a community, and a community thrives best if it grows and evolves.
