That would be a pretty amazing deal around here, or at least would have been

Yup. A classmate of mine visited UCLA a few years ago and was absolutely
shocked by one of her hosts, who referred casually to taking out a
$10K loan so he could afford a decent apartment.
$633/month is definitely on the low side out here. Particularly for a
decent apartment.

RE#72 -- Yes, but they refer to whites by 'code' too. And if they are
hispanic, the AAPD considers them white. Hippies have their own 'code' too.

resp:77 AAPD must not see many migrant laborers. They're pretty
brown, all right.
But then again, it's my understanding "Mexican Pride" is more of a
West Coast thing.
