IBB there are eight million decisions that I have to make, and I'm not up to
any of them. 1. I really, really want to go to the Cup parade, which will
involve a. a Long-Ass Road Trip or Really Expensive tickets b. not getting
to see my friend when she comes back after a month in Italy for several extra
days, c. explaining to my boss that I want to take *more* time off, d.
punting on a date for this Friday, e. dealing with messy romantic issues.
How did I let all this get so out of hand?

IBB I'm starting to get really tired from over a month now of taking 2 classes
and working 25 to 30 hours a week, even though the classes are easy. I've
also stopped instantly acing my computer science projects and tests (so that
means I'm 3.0ing them now and its kind of scaring me cause I was looking
forward to a 4.0), and I'm still scared that one day I'm going to wake up and
complex analysis is no longer going to be insultingly easy.
I also haven't had a lot of time to see my friends in the last month, and its
making me *grumpy*.

More than the usual amount of stuff dropped on my toes in the last couple of
days (even accounting for it being TOP setup). Right now I'm Grexing with
my left foot in a bucket of ice, with a huge ugly blood blister under the big
toenail.

TOP starts Friday evening.
I haven't had anything dropped on my toes yet (knock on wood), but I'm
starting to resemble a freshly cooked lobster ... at least my face is.
And I used sunblock too (3 times through the day, and I still got
burned)

I forgot to reapply sunblock after lunch, and when I climbed into the hot
tub an hour ago, I really felt it!
I need to sort out the electrical hookup paperwork either tonight or
tomorrow at lunch. Bleah.

TOP setup. Uhm, Eric....? Yeah. Sorry.

Also, Please note. That while everyone is jumping on richard for bringing up
the subject of disrimination, No one is responding to my statement that I HAVE
been discriminated against by local agencies that ADMITTED it to me.
Also, I feel it is unfair for my friend to be hired by COMCAST and not me when
I got him his current job when he was out of work. Life just ain't fair.

Bru, what was there to say? It's not as if we can apologize for
someone else's actions. It was duly noted, but since it was not the
actual object of discussion, what did it serve to include it? No was
was arguing whether or not you've been exposed to discriminatiory
practices in job situations. It does suck, under the circumstances you
note, that this other person got your job. No one was disputing that,
either. Hopefully this means something better is coming along for
you. That's my hope for you at least.
Grimaldi . . . how's the police job search going, anyway?
I've never had a blister under my toenail, Scott, so I will shudder as
promised in the Happy Item. However, I reserve the right to shudder
again if I think about the drilling of toenails.

Dammit. The Ex-Undatable One and I arranged to talk on the phone last night
at 10. She was late calling, yet again, and I was sick of the
electronic-tether-style phone date arrangement we've got going (she only has
access to payphones, so I can never call her, but she can call me any time,
and woe be unto me if I don't answer), so I turned my phone off at 10:30 when
she still hadn't called. But I left it on when I plugged it in to charge
overnight, and she called and woke me up, in tears, a while after midnight.
It's such an aggravating situation. Honestly, I'm tired of being in such
close contact -- for the first time, I understand why exes so often just stop
talking to each other. But what's still unbearably close to me is way too
remote as far as she's concerned. So, yeah, I'm bummed.

Next time, make sure your phone is turned off. Or, just don't answer it.
If you arranged to talk to each other at 10:00, and she doesn't get around
to calling you for a few hours, and you answer, you're just showing her that
you're still her bitch.
Once M-Net's back up, drop by the Twinkie Conference.

I almost never agree with twinkie about anything. But this time he is
right.
If she says she is going to call you at 10p and at 10:30 you dont want
to wait around anymore, turn your phone off and leave it off. That way
she wont wake you up. You are allowed to set limits with her. If the
level of closeness you desire isnt close enough for her, that is her
problem.

regarding the electronic tether thing: that's why I got a cellphone, back
when. ymmv.
IBB they up and fired me today. This isn't a huge tragedy; I'd intended to
leave before long anyway, but it's a little sooner and leaves me a bit poorer
than I'd like.
OTOH, good riddance. Pfeh.

Maybe a warm bath will help relax you and allow you to least take a
quick nap? I hope you feel better.
That's awful Greg. You'll find what you want, I know you well enough
to know that. Good luck on the immediate job search!
