I love Tobermoray and the whole Bruce Penninsula. A few years ago, I
drove up to Tobermoray and took the ferry to Manitoulin Island and then
drove on to Little Current. I met my parents and brother there as they
had been sailing down from Mackinac Island. I gave my brother my car
and sailed with my folks to Baie Fine, Killarney and then back to
Tobermoray. It took about a week. We spend a couple of days in "little
tub" harbor which wasnt too long of a walk from town. Then my Dad's
friend drove up and my mom and I drove back in his car while my Dad
sailed the boat back to Detroit.
Tobermoray is a fun place even though it is very touristy. ok, that is
what makes it fun. I liked the glass bottom boat tour that went to
Flower Pot Island.

IHB my (nice, non-creepy) psychiatrist passed on the name and number of a
new potential therapist without my having to talk to the creepy other one.
And because my work is starting to tickle my fancy again. (It hadn't been
very ticklish lately. :))

The section of the Bruce trail that runs along the Tobermoray pennisula
is fairly highly trafficed as hiking trails go, but that's not saying
much. Clamber down the cliffs from the trails and you can camp in a
bay all your own. Beautiful area, and a just a little hiking is all it
takes to leave 99.9% of the tourists behind.

orinco, were you at the Sailing Club a few weeks back?
Where is the Bruce Peninsula? Sounds like Ireland, but it's kinda hard to
sail to Ireland from Mackinac, I'd think.

Found someone to switch lit survey dates with, and work is starting to make
the teensiest little steps of progress. I'm almost feeling energetic enough
to go exercise.

Brue Peninsula in in Georgian Bay in Ontario. Tobermory is a wonderful place
for Scuba diving. Lots of good condition wrecks in reasonably shallow water.

Re #737: Oh, the contest is over. I didn't make the finals.
I went in thinking I had a reasonable shot at the semifinals (top
10 contestants) but probably not the finals (top 5 contestants),
so I'm satisfied with the outcome.
The contestants' scores will be published eventually on the contest
website (http://www.oldtimepiano.com), but that hasn't happened yet.

gelinas, The North Channel is considered one of the best cruising
places in the world. If you ever get a chance to go sailing up there, I
*highly* recommend it.

Congratulations, remmers. That sounds like fun. :)
IHB I now have two jobs - one full-time with mandatory overtime through June
(proofreading) and one part-time with 20-30 hours per week (editing). When
the overtime ends at the proofreading job, the editing job will need me 30-40
hours per week. I will be tired, but closer to getting out of debt and back
into school.
On that note, it's entirely possible that I may be in school as soon as this
Fall.

Thanks, slynne; I'll keep it in mind. :)
IAHB we watched the BVS season finale last night (although we haven't
seen the preceding episode; something to look forward to). Spike's last
line is a good reminder to be careful what you wish for.

IHB the World Cup soccer tournament-- the world's biggest sporting event--
started early today (well at least it was early if you watched on the east
coast), and started with a bang. Tiny Senegal shocked defending champion
France 1-0. Gonna be a fun month!
