re #670: That's good news. Best wishes to your dad.

re #673: Dangit, Katie, it's been too long since your last CD. When
will this one be coming out?

They're probably going to hold him for a couple of days to monitor his
progress, and we're not exactly sure where--as of 8pm tonight they hadn't
found a bed in oncology for him. I'm not sure about strange visitors just
yet, though.

I'm glad you dad's doing better, Senna!

Sarah . . . what was the score?

2-1. Go Wings!!!! :)

IHB I spent the whole day yesterday with my boy, met his father, and then
spent the evening with a couple of his friends at this nifty place called
Dave & Busters. Got to play table shuffleboard.

senna, is your dad at St. Joes, or UM?

Heh, Dave and Buster's is cool. :)

I've got a feeling of general contented-ness going on today, for some reason.
I rather like it.

Re 669: I don't think we need to do Eric. ;) Something else would be nice,
though. But Saturday I'm going to Cedar Point... Sunday, or Friday?

IHB I'm in a much better mood today. I can't really explain why, but it's
the first day in almost three weeks that I haven't been on the verge of tears.
I think a Long Talk with Dave last night did wonders toward that.

IAHB I found a really nice wedding present for Matt. It's kinda odd shopping
for a wedding present for your ex. ;-) I know him really well, but I have
no clue what his fiancee likes.

Sunday, I think...I'll be around Monday as well, if that works better for you.
Leaving Tuesday around noon.

Listening to BBC Radio Scotland folk music programming. I've had
this for almost three months now and it still makes me slightly giddy.

IHB the joys of fatherhood. I took a turn looking after Sarah over
some late night Grexing and such so Julie could sleep.

IHB I got a promotion at work. Instead of being the low person on the pole,
I am now a bit higher, I get to post payments from insurances and patients!
woohoo! (And I can still work p/t hours!)

IHB my pregnant friend told the guy last night, and he was very
supportive. He said he is OK with whatever she chose to do. As of now,
though, they will likely not go through with it. She's cramping heavily
and doctors have told her it's very possible that she will miscarry.

But, she feels much better with his support in this.

IAlsoHB I had a great interview yesterday with a medical publishing
company. This job would be a perfect fit! Everyone there seemed cool
and friendly, and the job tasks are exactly what I want. The pay is not
stellar, but I am willing to accept that. Would be a close drive, and I
would have flexibility in hours. This is infinitely better than the
other job I interviewed for (which was over a month ago, and they
aren't being straight with me about hiring).

I should know by June 7th... I don't wanna wait!

Finally got around to finishing my chainmail ninja mask, from the one in the
old 1980's Lee Van Cleef TV show "Master Ninja". It worked out great,
although I now think the original used smaller wire and rings (I matched the
proportions right, though).

Sarah, I'm sure that as long as it's from the heart, it will be
appreciated.

IHB good evening last night :) My boy rearranged his schedule so he could
take me out for a very nice evening before the weekend of (fun) chaos begins
...which reminds me, IHB the Meg is due to arrive this evening, as is
another friend from undergrad. :)

Syl - I'm trying to find a wedding card with DC Comic characters on it. ;-)

IHB we've had nice weather the past couple days. I love having the windows
open.

My quicky-recipe summer wheat beer turned out great; in fact it was
overwhelmingly popular at last night's movie night. Today I had to brew more,
in fact. Hopefully the 5 remaining bottles of the old batch will tide me over
until the new batch is ready to drink.

Good, home-grilled food, good conversation, and a good game of Monopoly
with friends I haven't hung out with much in a while tonight. Yum!

Got out of work early, went to Dave's to watch the "Gilmore Girls" series
finale (though I hate to admit that), enjoyed good conversation about
etymology and grammar, and cuddled him 'til he fell asleep.

One of the former Aikido instructors from my school is back in town, and last
night I got a great 1.5 hour workout with her and a couple other senior
students.
