Kent, could you supply a reference for "ignify"? It's not in m-w.

From the OED:
ignify i.gnifi, v. rare. [f. L. type *ignificare, f. igni-s fire: see
-fy. (Cf. late L. ignefacere.) ] trans. To set on fire, to cause to
burn.

I thought it was a pretty neat word :) "I'd like to ignify that
remark, but I don't have a match."

On Grex, one often has to choose between ignifying and ignoring. :)

Sorry for the delay in scoring. We have:

  teepee 0 (aruba)
  ripper 1 (prp)
  uneasy 0 (kentn)
  strass 1 (prp)

BTW:

strass Function: noun Etymology: French stras, strass Date: 1820
: PASTE 3

I'm not sure if that means the 3rd definition of paste the noun, or the
3rd form of paste, a transitive verb. I'll include both here, and you can
decide:

1paste Function: noun Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French,
from Late Latin pasta dough, paste Date: 14th century
1 a : a dough that contains a considerable proportion of fat and is used
for pastry crust or fancy rolls
b : a confection made by evaporating fruit with sugar or by flavoring
a gelatin, starch, or gum arabic preparation
c : a smooth food product made by evaporation or grinding <tomato paste>
      <almond paste>
d : a shaped dough (as spaghetti or ravioli) prepared from semolina, farina,
      or wheat flour
2 : a soft plastic mixture or composition: as
a : a preparation usually of flour or starch and water used as an adhesive
or a vehicle for mordant or color
b : clay or a clay mixture used in making pottery or porcelain
3 : a brilliant glass of high lead content used for the manufacture of
    artificial gems

3paste Function: transitive verb
Etymology: alteration of baste Date: 1846
1 : to strike hard at
2 : to beat or defeat soundly

Lastly, prp, please don't guess more than once before scoring. :-)
