Hmmm... I don't see the transgression... Nobody guessed twice in a row...
Maybe the foreign word in crepes? Sorry... (Was it *me* ? :-)

The rule is that guessing must stop when there are five (5) guesses
awaiting counts. It was rywfol (tch, tch tch).

Yeah, I see the "5" rule in the rules file. But I'm not really sure that
such a limit is really needed... Anyway:

It looks like that's it. Interestingly, my dictionary does not list a
singular for greaves, but it *shows* one as "greave" in the picture that
accompanies "armor". If its it, then it is one of the wiliest words we've
worked with.

Yes, you've penetrated the armor (below the knee :-) of the mystery word and
come up with the correct response: greave. I, too, have always seen the
reference as "greaves" (similar to "pants"), but I found a dictionary that
had the singular entry, so I went with it. :-) Nice hunting. You're *it*

What's special about 5 in the rules? Why not 10? Why not unlimited?
If someone wants to "waste" his/her time guessing words without building
on unprocessed prior guesses, what's the harm?
