Spectrum, while i like you and don't have anything against you, i am offended
by your suggestion that Commonwealth citizens do not understand the principle
of free speech.

The person whom you quoted was, I believe, an Englishman.

Sabre - it would please me greatly to see you banned from Grex. It would
please me greatly to see a lot of things. However, when that conflicts with
principles, my principles come first. Banning sabre, whilst he is an extreme
annoyance, would not be good for the camaraderie.

Grex is here to have a bit of fun and maybe let people learn a bit of UNIX.
Get with it.

Since by definition you weren't here before you were here, how the fuck would
you know what Grex was like in yuor absence?

Is your head *really* stuck so far up your own arse that you think you're the
only interesting person in Grex? I've stepped in things that were both more
interesting and more pleasant than you, fucktard.

"Testing us," eh. You're trying to make yourself sound like a hero, an
exploder of the bullshit of others. Well, next time, start at home. That's
total bullshit.

We hear that line a couple times a year from people who think that in 12
years nobody on Grex has ever thought of it before. You claim Grex was
boring before you came along. Dude, the reason nobody was even tempted
to boot you off was that you are about the 100th repeat of the same old
thing. We're all very used to having some noise generated by people who
can't think of anything better to do with free speech than to try to punish
the people who grant it to them by being as obnoxious as possible. Some
times the noise is more, sometimes it is less. We've plenty of experience
coping with noise generators substantially louder and disruptive than you.

Different users cope different ways. Some try to ignore it. Some make a
game out of baiting trolls by responding in kind. Others just try to spin
interesting conversations out of or around the noise.

You think you made this place interesting? Sorry, but you haven't expressed
a single idea or said a single thing that couldn't have been collected in any
7th-grade homeroom in the country. You didn't start interesting threads -
you started stupid threads which other Grex users have worked hard to spin
into interesting conversations.

I will say that you can be quite convenient to have around. An actual smart
Republican who understood his party's positions and the rationale behind them,
and could argue them effectively could be a lot harder to respond to in a
satisfying way. You provide an excellent strawman conservative.

RE #48 Sabre said: "The time I spend here is
nothing compared to ..say kranium...he stays on for DAYS.
twenex is here all the time also. GO ahead do what sleestak says...ban my
IP."

For the record, I will never suggest censorship for any reason...I said "6
hours 18 minutes across two user names from work?....S&H ip
block...Republican?" I was referring to the origination of your IP address.
The "block" of IP's are owned and operated by S&H corporation in FL.

I was interested to find out where a foul mouthed fellow like yourself might
be from. It struck me as odd that a devout conservative, such as yourself,
would log into a BBS from work for an extended period of time to post
obscenities etc etc etc....I figured that you probably didn't live at XINETIX,
so you must be at work when you are there....Question of ethics not
censorship...

Vote him off? Gawd no. Let's have some fun and mail his
employer with some of his responses and suggest maybe they
should be paying more attention to what their employees
do on office computers.

That ought to gain him some of the attention he so
obviously craves.

S&H Green Stamps. That explains a lot. ;-)
