myrrh 5 !

Myrrh was a good word! I found it interesting that the first 12 guesses
(all = 0) contributed nothing to the solution, except perhaps to prompt
the guess, umbra, that opened the door. The next 3 guesses were sufficient
to solve the puzzle. This word went 18 guesses: is it the longest lasting?
Well, not to dawdle:

I am thinking of a 5 letter word.

(Games rules are in /rcurl/lettermatch.rules)

(Others have dropped listing also the guesser, and I don't think others
are maintaining a file of all guesses and counts, in each game. Are either
of these aids that anyone thinks should be kept?)

I don't care if we keep the guesser, but I was doing it and I was
also maintaining a file with all the guesses and counts, too.
I used yours once or twice, but it seems most people have dropped
the idea. Too bad, 'cause I liked the idea.

We had a nice run there.
I've been keeping a record on (gasp!) paper, since we don't have GUI
here. But, OK, I've reestablished a file of word/count/guesser in
/rcurl/letter.match

* that's because the rules say you cannot make two guesses in a row.
