IHB I just had a wonderful dinner with Sooz, and am now massively drunk.
You should have *SEEN* how many times I've had to backspace to make this
entry look decent :)

Whereabouts in the White Mountains? Franconia Notch, perhaps?

I just spent the evening Insane Psycho Crying at a friend's house after a Very
Good conversation with Dave. The Insane Psycho Crying helped a LOT, even
though I didn't realize it until I came home. That, or the Tylenol 3 is
kicking in...

Went to a teriyaki place and to the movies to see Spider-Man with
Julie. I had very few complaints-- I thought it rocked. Julie is a
very big Spidey fan and she was tickled.

I also managed to snag a TRU Spidey cling decal for the minivan =)

re 501: You got it. Lafayette park for the hiking, and we stopped at the
Basin afterwards, which had fantastic rock/water stuff--it was hard to
believe it was all natural. Looked like something Disney's engineers would
try to do (but not do so well :))
I had another therapy session today, and arranged to switch to a different
therapist-possibly one outside MIT. I'm not sure whether it's timing or
what, but so far therapy has been most unhelpful.

My feeling about my unhelpful therapy at MSU... "Well, at least it was
free..."

IHB I was given an Indian cookbook last night.

Managed to restore my Dad's 380+ line (computer) address book from a rather
nastily-formatted Windows file.

Also, my old crabapple tree in the front yard is starting to flower. It looks
like it's going to put on a hell ofa display this year. :)

re 505: Somehow, all my appointments followed a period of relatively few
problems and preceded fairly extreme ones. Not positive that there's a
connection, but not inclined to go back to this guy. Today's appointment
consisted mostly of me being annoyed by the questions he was asking. (They
were fairly relevant questions, I just didn't want to focus on these things
or share the answers with him.)

Are we going to start talking about cooking Indians now?
We just got thru roasting remmers. [burp]

Re 508: The problem was going from newer-to-older versions of Outlook Express
with the internal (.wab) addressbook file format. I managed to install
Win2000 on an old hard drive on my own computer, use the even-newer version
of OE to open the file, and then exported in a more generic file format.

IHB- I've had a little over a week of rather decent work- and this is
with the Leprechaun actually IN the office. I'm rather amazed, this
does mean, though, that I haven't had much time to be on grex.

IAHB- both siblings' wedding plans are really coming together. :)

I'm happy for 2 reasons: so far only 2 of my grades have posted on stuinfo,
but they are both 4.0's. And I've been hired as a math TA for the fall!
Super spiffiness!

After a long, apologetic discussion with Coach Preseau, I will be allowed
to suit up for the games this weekend.

IHB Dave and I got a lot of things patched up last night (talked until 8:00
AM). We aren't back together, but it looks like we may actually be great
friends as always.

Glad to hear that, and not surprised. You don't seem like the type who gives
up easily on friendships.

IHB the grades are in! A in Anthropology (boring class unluckily), B in
Philos (Freedom and determinism is tough stuff), and a C in A&P! Woohoo!!!
I am surviving this college thing. On another note, I might be moving to a
small redneck town called Stateboro in 2003, depends on their nursing program.

So, I guess I am happy that I survived my official first year back in school,
and I have no qualms looking to tranfer to a program that is a lot better than
ASU can offer at this time.
