Hmm... I don't feel like trying to construct a proof, so I'll provide a
citation for

wosbird

Ballad of the Scouring of the White Horse

The owld White Horse wants zettin to rights
And the Squire hev promised good cheer,
Zo we'll gee un a scrape to kip un in zhape,
And a'll last for many a year.

A was made a lang lang time ago
Wi a good dale o' labour and pains,
By King Alfred the Great when he spwiled their consate
And caddled they wosbirds the Danes.

The Bleawin Stwun in days gone by
        Wur King Alfred's bugle harn,
And the tharning tree you may plainly zee
As is called King Alfred's tharn.

There'll be backsword play, and climmin the powl,
And a race for a peg and a cheese,
And us thenks as hisn's a dummel zowl
As dwont care for zich spwoorts as theze!

note....

"caddled", to worry, "wosbird" a bad omen - a bird of woe, the "Bleawin
Stwun" the Blowing Stone and "dummel zowl" was dumb or stupid.

You're word again, Joe.

In the OED 2d ed, another definition is:

wosbird

wosbird, dial. var. whore's bird (whore sb. 3).

whore's bird (also as one word, and dial. wosbird): properly, the
child see bird sb. 1 c of a whore, a bastard; but usually as a mere
vulgar term of abuse or reprobation. So whore's kitling.

Hmm... That definition works better in the poem than the one offered
in the note: "King Alfred the Great when he spwiled their consate/And
caddled they [whoresons] the Danes."

So I'm thinking of a seven-letter word that is not

        wosbird 0 (lastword)
