S. Korea beat Italy in a thriller game: 2 - 1
This is proving to be one of the most interesting world cup finals.
maybe because there is no team for me to support.

Carson, will you mail me your notes and advice on your Stats class... I am
taking Intro Stats this coming spring... bastards! Why do nurses need
this?!?! (Actually I do know the answer, hate to have to buy a $100
calculator)

I'm back in Seattle after a month-long roadtrip through the southwestern
United States (mostly Utah..)
A selection of my trip pictures can be found at:

Pictures from Arches National Park always remind me of Road Runner cartoons.

re #504: yeah, the landscape in that part of the country is pretty
surreal. I tend to think "Krazy Kat" rather than "Roadrunner"
(especially when I'm actually *in* Coconino County) but there's
definitely a fantastic quality to the scenery.

I hadn't considered Utah part of the "Southwest", but I guess it is, if it
abuts Arizona and New Mexico. :)

(I don't yet know how I did on the first statistics test. heck, I
don't even know how I did on the *second* one, although I did take
advantage of a nifty feature where I could submit the answers via
webpage. that will allegedly get the results back to me sooner.)
(anyway, both tests *felt* OK. the first one was a bit of a surprise
because it didn't look ANYTHING like the sample test. for one thing,
it had a number of definition questions [which I would have missed if
I hadn't actually, ya know, READ the frickin' chapters]. the second
one was odd because I forgot to ask for scrap paper before going into
the testing room.)
(I just finished studying for test #3, which is in... wow, about five
hours.)
(zzz.)
