BTW as long as someone pays for this book eventually, I have no problem with

I think this may be some sort of special bookstore copy that Tim got from
Borders. (There's a sticker inside which makes corrections to the
Acknowledgements page, and a sticker I don't understand on the front.) Maybe
the price changed between the time this copy was printed and when it went
mainstream.
