Ok, I'll bail hawkeye out. For what do we know Johnny Davis, Brad Howell,
and Charles Shaw?

Hmmm, the second gentleman's name may be Brad Howe - I have it spelled
differently in two different sources.

Those are the names listed in the Billboard Top 40 book, and they agree
(almost) with another source I have. I suppose "Brad" *could* be
female ...

(that's cute.)
(BTW, for those that didn't know, "White Wedding" was a Billy Idol song.)
(If I knew the answer, I'd ask how many Jim Morrison wannabes there were
in the 80's. Iggy Pop was one. Billy Idol was another...)

What makes you say Iggy and BIlly were/are Morrison wannabes? I would never
compare the three personally.

Sorry about that! Went to Cedar Point for the weekend!! (what a rush!)
Okay, the question is...
Two members from one of Englands most influential early "gothic" bands went
on to form an influential new group with a string of top 40 hits in the late
80's and early 90's. Name the two groups. First hint, the origional band's
name consisted of one word...

Remember, I lived through the 80's, I remember Bauhaus when they
were still together.
Geez, you'd think I'd have an easy time thinking of an 80's music
question, wouldn't you?
OK, my housemate has given me one.
What musician of the 80's used Playboy Magazine to thank another
musical act for a favor they'd done him?
(Clumsy wording, I know...)

Was it John Taylor from Duran Duran? I know in a Playboy interview he did,
he talked about Frankie Goes to HOllywood. I don't know if he thanked them
for anything or not though!

Interesting, but no, that's not him.
Hint - the second musical act is a group of the 60's, 70's,
80's, and with their recent album release, now the 90's.
