Forgive me for not understanding where you are headed with this line of
thinking, Your Majesty. I mean no offence.

Wicca is a religion.. lycanthropy is fantasy...
i draw the line.. even if i dont know how to find the ruler.

Is lycnathropy fantasy? Why do most cultures have shape-shifting myths,
if there is not some grain of truth to it, at least on the metaphoric
level? I've never seen a person actually physically change into another
creature, but I have a friend who believes he used to do it as a child.
And, near as I can tell, he's not crazy. I believe he's talking (or
thinking) metaphorically or on the arcane level, but still...

beliefs strike me as different than saying you turn into a wolf...
the wolf bit can be proven.. so prove away. otherwise, its gfantasy.

Point taken.

response 63 of 90: Mark Unseen   Aug 27 19:09 UTC 1994

It is possible.... proper reranging of genes, deletion, adding, and such. If
I did this would you then belive that lycanthropy exists? Isn't it possible
to change your apperence by concetrating on looking like somthing else? How
far would one have to go to be considered wolf like? Fur? Fangs? Claws? Paws?
Quadraiped instead of Biped?

Perhaps it is a type of glamour?
A spell of illusion cast upon the beholder not the caster?

werewolf, n. a human bing posesed with the ability/curse to
assume wolven form on the full mooon (and in other circumstances depending on
the source) wolven from is usually complete but may also include a wolfman
appearance. This includes a snout, long fangs, complete covering of body fur,
canine ears and tail. Can you do that canis?

response 66 of 90: Mark Unseen   Sep 1 05:55 UTC 1994

Silly definition, considering "werewolf" and "wolfman" are etymologically
synonymous (wer is Old English for male adult).
Since wif, BTW, is Old English for female ("my wife" is "my woman"), anybody
want to say what a female lycanthrope is called? It's too delicious
for me to say it.

fuz, making a point... I am elven, but not in this particular here and now.
perhaps a spirit, or soul-shape...that's what the werewolves are. But in this
here and now, that is all i mean *ALL* it is.
