That's funny. When I type BBS, I get an error message, while bbs puts
me in spring agora. (This may have been fixed in the last two hours - but
prior to that I was using conf to go to *spring* agora.)

First - amoco - are you one of the "Seven Sisters"? - anyway, welcome
from a real old newbie. Saving my pennies so I can join and vote
in all the Grex elections. Power mad! Join with me and we can
control this organization. Of course, why would we want to?

<<so you can spend $1000 on us ..... that's why>> You don't get
root, but you can get a Borg seat ......
I have noticed a very strange reaction to character-printing.
I don't ahve time to describe it, but ^w seems to miss characters
and I have to rewrite the line to see what to type next. Hmmm, guess
I did have time to describe it ... - nighty-night.

I ran across some old e-mail from the founding of Grex.
If you're interested in reading it, type:
!menumore /u/popcorn/oldstuff/*
(and keep in mind that it's very specific to valerie's perspective,
not at all a generic overview)

In any case, speaking as someone who was there, the stuff's an
interesting blast from the past.

I've heard of a new open-unix system out of some western state,
that calls itself "Compublurb"..

Grex is a text-based group consensual hallucination with an community-like
awareness but no evident sentinence or consciousness.
tho i could be wrong. :]

People *appear* to be reading it, but has anyone considered that Grex
might simply be an eliza-like entity with most of the users being
simulated by the computer?
