Raisins and nuts.

How about snickerdoodles? I think we should make the snickerdoodle
the official cookie of Grex.

   That might work.

Things we still need:

Loans of *lots* of skunky old blankets, for wrapping around hardware
as it is transported.

A garbage can.

Another lunch volunteer.

An early morning hot beverage volunteer.

Many thanks!!

STeve -- Any thoughts about where to meet for breakfast? Would it work
to meet at 7:20 for breakfast, then start moving at 8?

<naah, 7:20 is early enough that many nocturnal grexers may still be up
 from the night before.>

The Midtown Coney Island is just around the corner from CE on Jackson Road.
They have reasonable breakfasts (and a bakery for those that don't want a
"reasonable" breakfast, but just a sugar fix).

"Grex net" so far:

Rane rcurl N8REG "base (and phones)"
Steve steve WB8WSF "mover and shaker"
Glenda glenda N8KPL "gofer"
Tim kt8k KT8K "gofer"

might also what to include in the planning

Ken - WB8LIT "from"

STeve, we need our "marching orders" from you - when should base get
on the air; how should "gofers" be deployed; (and, how long do you
think the "net" will be useful).

I mentioned the plans to ARROW (via Mark N8PQJ and Klaus N8NXF). Our
use of the 2m repeater would be rather light, but I ascertained that
we would not be conflicting with any other planned public service use.

Thanks Rane. I'll figure things out and post in a few days.
Glenda is right about the coney island place--although, I think
we should meet at 7am (uggh). That gives the unforunate of us
more time to ply coffee/caffiene to become useful.

I can volunteer for about two hours to paint or move moderately clumsy
objects ( I have a dolly). I can paint and have found that a roller on
a stick is better than a hand held roller. No bending or reaching.
I am availabe most times after 6 pm or on the weekend.

I could make 1/2 of the batch of chocolate chip cookies
with raisins and nuts! How does that sound? And *what* are
snickerdoodles??

(Sorry, I know that there are much more crucial things to
worry about regarding this move!)

Snickerdoodles are a wonderful (when made properly) cinnamon and sugar
cookie. See the cooking conference for a recipe.

I suspect the restaurant in question is *Uptown* Coney Island. Its
location fits the description, & I've never noticed Midtown Coney Island.

There's a Mark's Midtown Coney Island off State Street, someplace
between Ellsworth and I-94, on the west side of the street.

Re 59: I *think* we're about set for painters at this point, but thanks
for offering!

Re 57: Ken's login ID on Grex is "ken". I'm not sure how often he
checks his mail; he may not see it right away.

The Grex Net table in #57 is now maintained in /u/rcurl/grex.net

#63: finger ascher does not find ken. Shouldn't it?

#64: Thanks, TS. You are "gofer3".

If someone can give a lift, I can help somewhere.

Jim, you are "gofer4". We won't know what *any* of us are doing until
STeve tells us! If a couple of things have to be pursued by phone, it
could (e.g.) be useful to ask you to handle one while I handled the other.
Maybe you could ride in the cookie truck and .......

I have a station wagon and could be available for the 2 hours mentioned
earlier. Ie - thursday- sunday evening during week any on wend.
can anyone tell me how to call up an item but go right to the last few resp.

response 72 of 130: Mark Unseen   Jan 14 20:08 UTC 1995

Enter Item ##, and at the pager prompt, enter a q . Then enter a
last (or just an l) to look at the last response. You could also enter
just a response number then. To look at the last (say) 5 reponses,
first enter the l and *then* -5.
popcorn
response 73 of 130: Mark Unseen   Jan 15 08:30 UTC 1995

Also, if you want to only see new responses since the last time you
read item 72, type "read 72 new".
