I am happy that FAZ pizza left two flyers in my mailbox because it is a
federal offense and I can mail them to Postmaster Ann Arbor (attention Tim
Inman) who will make a guess as to what area pizza flyers were left in and
bill Faz first class postage for this whole area. If anyone else finds pizza
flyers or other advertising in their mailbox please do the same, as well as
phoning the police and reporting this to Doug Martelle. I also let the
Observer know about this, so they can tell other people what the laws are and
who to call to have them enforced.

IHB time and weather permitted me to get out on my bicycle this evening.
I also have new tires for the bicycle, which will go on when I've
got time; the old ones are looking pretty ragged.

shortly...)

Re #44: The bag goes straight from the fridge to the freezer at
the end of the marinating process, marinade and all. So yes, it
gets frozen with the marinade. The freezer-burn protection is
more of a fortuitous side-effect, though. (So's the flavor you
get from the mix of meat drippings with marinade, over rice or
couscous. Yum!)
Unfortunately, the process doesn't protect against oxidation.
You can expect some off-flavors after a while. I'm going to
be turning the rest of my chicken into a casserole.

IHB love-related things are much better, though we still aren't 'out of the
woods'. I hate that cliche', but it kinda fits.

IHB I'm not bummed. :) And I'm forgiven...and I'm enjoying the general
feeling of not being chemically depressed...and I got to see a friend last
night who's been chronically upset for months, and she was really happy...
and I get to play hockey with my team tomorrow.

IHB I just chugged 1/2 bottle of Perrier and then let out a burp loud
enough to be heard throughout the whole department! Actually I am lying
about that. It wasnt that loud of a burp but I wished it was and I
think that should count for something.

You can get some nice effects by substituting the marinade/drippings for
some of the water used to cook the rice, too. (Cooking rice in chicken
broth, for example, has a tasty result.)

Re #64: Already tried that. I've also tried baking chicken on
top of a bed of couscous, which does interesting things but isn't
an experiment I'm really hot to repeat (the couscous gets too
dry and crusty on the bottom).

IHB- one of the Kathys brought a yummy currant scone from
Zingermans. :) (the other option was an almond croissant, but the scone
sounded better) I like working with the Kathys... now if we could lose
the Leprechaun...
IAHB- I go up to Midland tomorrow to celebrate my brothers and sister's
birthdays. (The twins turned 30 yesterday and my sister turns 32 April
2)

IHB I went to the sports bar last night and the Wings came back from a 3-1
deficit to tie it, and because we just won our first tournament game--5-0,
vs Michigan business school. (No goals, but I had a couple real good
chances--and an assist. :))
More hockey this afternoon!

Another 5-0 game, and much fun had by all :) Now we go to the tourney finals
tomorrow, to be followed by a bbq.
Oh--and the police think they might have recovered my laptop. I have to go
in next week and identify it. (I'm not quite sure what I'll *do* with it,
since I now have a newer faster one...but anything to help build a case
against this creep.)

(finally) been released, and the current Meeting Maker release candidate works
with it. YAH!
