So let's see if I've got this straight. You and Clinton were stuck
on the Bridge during rush hour, and...

and replied "United States."
Wait. That wasn't me.

sex is the oldest thing being learned by human beings and its the only thing
which is common for any living objects so why its a taboo? I request u all

Well, eating is common for any living objects, too. It's even more common:
some living organisms don't engage in sex.

Of course that depends on what you mean by "eating" -- does it include
the way plants take in nutrients and photosynthesize?

sex and cool are not complementing each other? There is nothing cool about
it for non US people.Even Mexico and Peru (Inka Civilization) have more to
say about it.

Sure, plants eat through their roots and stomata. There is a more
general term for it - metabolism - if you prefer.
oval - would you like to do it that way? Has some advantages.....

If you want to talk about nutrient intake and metabolism, that's fine,
but I'd argue it's a superclass of "eating" just as reproduction is a
superclass of sexual reproduction.. I'm not sure I'd agree that "eating"
is universal.

What would you argue to assert that any nutrient intake is not "eating"?

That has a mechanical affect on the skin. But some substances are absorbed
through the skin and then metabolized. Why is that not "eating" too, since
it is nutrient intake? Probably can't be a very balanced "meal", however.

You could use the word "eating" to refer to that, I guess. (Actually, I can
think of times when you might. If your doctor asks how much of a certain
nutrient you eat in a day, and you happen to get a lot of it from your skin
lotion, then you'd probably include that in your answer to the question.)

It seems to me that being fed through through an IV would be being fed, but
not eating. Eating to me specifically means putting food in one's mouth and
swallowing it, but maybe I'm being too restrictive.

That's mastication. That is, of course, the usual way WE eat. Do Venus
Flytraps "eat" flies? Do spiders "eat" flies? Do mosquitos "eat" blood?
