Fortunately, I still remember the word I was thinking of... :)

For those who are (hopefully) lurking out there, (hopefully) following
this game, a summary of the guesses on the current word can be found
in /u/kentn/letter.match. Go ahead and make a guess!

Found that one in the *sixth* dictionary I looked in. Just shows
you it's almost as much fun to run the game as it is to guess...

Can't have too many dictionaries, it seems.

Now, if you do guess this word by letter elimination, try
to find out what it means before entering your guess here.
I don't believe you'll need eight dictionaries to do so.

I have three dictionaries and OED on the web - and they all failed me.
Actually, though, letter elimination is quite common the the five-letter
car-travel (no notes) version of this game. I think it is all the batteries
of dictionaries, search engines, and note taking that makes it rare here.
So, onward and downward....

Ooof...this is turning into a long (26) list of guesses. Well, I can say
that I found this word in a paper dictionary and a web dictionary so I
don't believe I've eliminated everyone from their source of guesses beyond
letter elimination. I also can't remember a word reaching a 4 in correct
letters and then dying so quickly. Hopefully, it will be guessed soon!
Good luck.
