i like the idea of making computer art out of computer parts and selling them
as original peices at the next sale. even if only a few sell for $50-$100
each is will greatly enhace income, and if there are a few truly
creative/artisitc grexers who can do more than a 'sculptural cartoon' $100
would only be the jumping off point!

(A better target is to sell computer p/art at the Art Fair. Most people
at the JCC sales are looking for cheap bargains, not "art". Which doesn't
mean it would hurt to try a few pieces at the next sale.)

Hey, look at this, you computer p/art folks:
The Detroit Institute of Arts is hosting an exhibit on Refuse/Reuse, Oct 13
<so I'm sincere, but slow> through Dec 14. The exhibit includes 100
award-winning designs from the Arango International Design competition and
claims to be the first museum exhibition anywhere of everyday goods from
recycled materials. Featured objects include chairs, jewelry, bicycles,
dishware, baskets and more. Lectures, youth and adult workshops, and a
musical performance on recycled intruments round out this exhibition. For
hours and directions, call 313 833 7900 or contact www.dia.org.
