There is a difference between crashing and rebooting. Rebooting solves a world of ills, even if it's unnecessary, which it often is in M-net's case.

My liberal position is premised on the assumption that things *will get fixed* in the not too distant future. I see a lot of effort going into accomplishing that, right now, and while effort is being made, and the system is mostly up, I remain optimistic. While I am optimistic, I don't support shutting down newuser. Optimism does not have unlimited bounds, however.

Yees, I think we'll have the smpl SCSI controller out of Grex this week and things will be better. While I can't say this will 100% fix the problem, I do think it's the problem (after seeing lots of other things not be the problem).
