Also, wasn't the first guess supposed to be the last word (legal)?

The custom of making the last word the first guess hasn't been codified,
so I probably didn't make it automatic. But it was so long ago, I can't
remember!

The last word being the first guess for the new word has been an
individual idiosyncrasy. There is no rule to do it - or not to do it.

I'm going on vacation for a week (they're kicking me out of the dorm, just
because there's no classes; ding-dang narrow-minded.... *chuckle* ) so if
there are any guesses in the meantime, I'll score them when I get back 22 May.

Is anyone still interested in the five-letter COMMON word game? It's been
so long I've forgotten my word, but I have chosen another.
