Jim sounds sort of interested in biking over to Ypsi and looking at the
cordless phone, the bike and the basement in need of a phone jack, maybe whent
he grapes are ripe. He can also admire the battery-powered mower.

IHB my back is starting to feel better, even though I had a nasty reaction
to codeine this morning. Apparently, when it says "take with food", it means
it. ;-)

re #419- you're talking about Battle Creek- one lil city in all of
Michigan vs. Iowa... few buildings, lots of corn. <grins>

Right, and Battle Creek isn't surrounded by corn. They ship it in. :)

The one class I had reservations about that I needed to graduate, has now been
taken care of, I passed the class with flying colors and a good deal of
studying for the massive do-all/end-all final exams from hell yesterday. I
did stellar.. :) I rock..

resp:425 You are certainly welcome to come get grapes even if you dont
look at the phone or anything. I will post an announcement when they
are ripe. Last year, I think it was august sometime. It must have been
early August because I was in Nova Scotia for the last two weeks.
*shrug*
resp:430 Probably. You wouldnt know of a place that sharpens those old
mowers? This one is really old.

Jim sharpens old mowers by adjusting the spacing between the blades and the
thing that they hit, if they are the push type. It requires a big screwdriver
or an adjustable wrench, and sometimes something to loosen the rust first.
I won't suggest that you bike it over here. He also fixes old turntables and
tape decks - make a list. If you feed him he will work longer.

Nope, I go to a small school called Augusta State University, which is part
of the University of Georgia system. Emory is private and thus expensive.
Though I might consider going there for a possible Masters in Nursing later
in life... yes, I do hope to move to Atlanta some day... (I have service
cancelable loans, so that if I work so many years in Georgia, they "write off"
a certain amount per year after I get my RN)

I knew that about Emory. I've considered it, meself. but if I ever go back
to school, it probably won't be there.

You know its bad when you're sitting in a room with 4 other college students,
and instead of studying for your finals, you're all going "Heh, FIRE, heh!"

Just spent tonight with 4 friends at the bar and reflecting back in their room
after having a few beers.. I'm still sober... oddly enough.. But it was a good
time.. It's nice to know even after the shit I've gone thru in the last 48
hours that I'll have people around that I'll enjoy spending time with the rest
of my days.

I am happy because I got to meet our district manager at work,
finally. He's an older gentleman with a firm handshake and a very
upbeat attitude. I was in a bit of a daze, some of it from his kind
praise, some because I am still a bit shy, and some because well.. he
is a bigger boss =)
Now, my Store Director-- I don't worry, because I already knew him
before I started working at TRU.
resp:399 pardon my curiousity, and forgive me if I've already asked,
but why is he The Boy? *shrug* it must be me.. I'm still getting used
to being called a man, although I do like it.

re resp:431: I don't know of anyplace that sharpens old push mowers, but
you can do it yourself with a file. The blades should be about like
ordinary table knives.

IHB bf took time out from his crazed studying-for-orals to be very sweet
and attentive last night. And I didn't lash out or demand unreasonable
things or spoil it or anything. (I *still* don't understand how he can
keep up 21-hour workdays for weeks at a time, though.)

Tennessee. We'll be gone through Monday. I'm looking forward to
spending some time with my son, and also to seeing my brother and his
family.

re the whole "boy" thing: I get sort of amazed at the wide use of the terms
"boyfriend" and "girlfriend". What is funny is when middle aged people talk
about their boyfriends or girlfriends. Pedophilia? No, abuse of language.

15 minutes ago! Joy! Wood! Log! Time to pack now...
but that I'm not nearly as eager to do...
