Don't you *dare* give a clue for a common 5-letter word, just because people
have been too busy lately to respond! ;-)

What is a "queue" anyways?...I mean, I thought this was a "common" 5-letter
word game.... (:P

response 360 of 861: Mark Unseen   Jul 17 16:06 UTC 1997

Well...it's common in my vocabulary. :) er...not that I go around saying

It's the word that comes after 'telnet' when describing that damn countdown
thing...<mutter>

It means a line, like a line waiting for something or something.

I use my kids' elementary school dictionary for this game, and queue is in
it.

I think practically everyone knows the wrod queue - they just don't realize
how it is spelled.

And just remember, if anybody asks, it's a common word that will sound the
same even if you drop the last four letters from it. ;)

OK, I'm thinking of a new 5-letter common word that's not:

queue 0 (lastword)

Sorry, bopkins, I can't process your proffering because you proffered twice
in a row before someone else proffered... Meanwhile,

Geez...I don't think I've ever seen the word "proffered" used so much in one
sentence...

So you'd prefer that proffer not be proffered so profusely? :-)
