Don't worry about it; I don't think I've mentioned often that I speak
Spanish. Just the other day, I was chatting in party with a Mexican

I have a cassette that I got when I was in Spain, in 1986. It *might* still
play, but it's a Mocedades Greatest Hits deal. I love their version of "Red
River Valley."

My neighbor and her Mexican boyfriend recently had a 1-month-early baby named
Marisol, whom I met yesterday. Jim thought he heard a baby so I asked. She
was fortunately able to use two weeks of sick leave for the last two weeks
of her job. The neighbor has finally quit smoking (probably 9 months ago)
and seems very happy. THe porch was full of relatives speaking Spanish and
I felt rather dumb.

No kidding. I'm as Anglo as can be, and I only picked up Spanish
because of family interest and locale (my mother and youngest sister
speak it too).
