Thanks, Mark. Makes me wonder why he was ready to chuck it all to work as
a carpenter: looks like he'd kept busy for ten years.

re #306: The only DVD I've ever seen so far was "The Lady and the
Tramp". It did seem to be preventing us from skipping past the
previews. I thought it would be something we'd learn how to do in time.
Oh, well.

Are there DVD players which allow you to evade this annoyance?

Do a search on the Web for "DVD region hacks" or something like that. Some
of the players can be modified or configured to disable some of the more
annoying features that DVDs can have.

Some computer DVD playing software ignores those commands, as well. (I
don't know whether this is intentional, or the happy result of lazy
programmers not including the feature.) ;)

You might not be able to skip ahead, but you should be able
to push the 'menu' button to escape to the DVD main menu from the
previews.

Graffiti isn't his first? Wow. That's always been the popular impression.
