How do they not disclose shipping costs?

that is why I never bid on anything from ebay unless the shipping costs
are in the item or the seller is willing to disclose them by email.

I watch shipping costs very closely when I bid on anything on eBay, as
well.

I bought a camera transfer cable for $0.99 and paid $3 shipping and was happy.
You did not mention the amounts involved, or the weight of the item.

IBB they killed off Edgar on '24' last night. He was one of the best
characters and will be missed. I was actually hoping if someone had to
die on last night's episode, they would have rubbed out Kim Bauer,
Jack's bratty daughter. Poor Kiefer saves her life again and again,
every season, and what does he get for it? No appreciation, I tell ya!
The body count is rising and the twenty four hour day's not half over
yet. At this rate they'll have to get Kiefer an entire new supporting
cast next season :)

I've heard rumors that Chloe is going to avenge Edgar and become a super hero
like Bauer.

Well, she did shoot those two guys last season, and she was adequate (if
not heroic) this morning when being pursued.
Kim will probably end up working next to Chloe in the next couple of
hours. She's a "fully trained CTU analyst" (from day 3, remember?)
and CTU has a bit of a staff shortage all of a sudden.

The bummer for me with 24 is the frequent ad breaks. It makes it all not
worthwhile.

One character I hope they don't kill off this season is Sean Astin's.
He's been a terrific addition, and we don't yet know just how
villainous he will turn out to be.

24 is hard to watch without a DVR, not mainly because of the ad breaks
but because of the serial format which makes it difficult to feel caught
up after missing an episode. But that's also what makes it good.

Of course the real suspense on '24' is always will Jack Bauer make it
through twenty four hours without eating, drinking or taking a crap,
and still have enough strength left by the end of the last hour to save
the world.
I mean the poor guy NEVER has time to eat! :)

Best way to watch "24" is on DVD. No ads. Of course, it means you're
at least a season behind...

There have been hints this season of Jack Bauer having vigilante tendencies.
He killed a guy in the season opener that he didnt even need to kill. Maybe
his daughter dies at the end of the season and he cracks up and turns
vigilante. Next season then he's the bad guy and Chloe and Tony Almeida are
ordered to go capture him or kill him before he tells the bad guys all his
secrets.

Jack's tendency to break the rules in this way is nothing new.
I don't think people would watch the show without Jack, or without him
being the good-guy protagonist.

Earlier I was happy because I got my computer at work up and running
again.
Now I'm unhappy, because it died again. A product which I will soon be
supporting, has killed my computer twice now when I installed it.

It damaged the hardware? Could it be a bad controller, not a bad drive? We
can check out the drive for you. In 2000 someone gave us a 20GB that turned
out to be perfect (except for having Win98FE on it).

Nah, Sterling Commerce will take care of the problem. It's a software
problem; some program is conflicting with the one I was trying to install.
