My dictionary lists "etamine", meaning a light cotton or worsted fabric with
an open mesh. On the off-chance that it has an alternate form, I'll guess

etamin

Yes it is an alternate form in my dictionary. I learned the "trick" of
using alternate forms from aruba......

Do you guys have a technelogical advantage? Like an electronic dictionary
you can search with wildcards? (that's techno-). While adania and I
hand-craft our answers? Is it accessible on Grex? If not, can you telnet
to it?  etc, etc, etc!

I have the American Heritage dictionary on CD-ROM, useful for "easy" words,
and I surf to the Oxford English Dictionary site that permits wildcards.
Web sites are accessible from grex, using lynx, but I have not tried it
at the site I use to see if there are any problems using lynx there.
However, I got "pintle" from my brain.

Hmmm... I suspect you learned to use alrternate forms from kentn, not me.
My dictionary supply is pretty weak.

Ok, I'm thinking of a six-letter word.
