Re resp:248: For the longest time, the only personal item in my cube was
a kazoo. Now I have various printouts of horror movie posters, an
origami mushroom, a Mr. Bump beanbag, another kazoo, a light-up Bates
Motel sign hanging on the outside of the cube, my ULC sainthood
certificate and a Spam calendar.

I'm home sick. Feels like either food poisoning or a flu bug, not sure
which, but it's not a head or chest cold. I had to miss a wireless
networking vendor presentation at work which I was kind of looking forward
to.

I'm voting for the flu bug, since I haven't bounced back much yet.

Ditto #254, with lots more obscenity tacked on.
For reasons known only to the !*@#_)&!@ construction workers, it was
apparently necessary to jackhammer for 45 minutes, right outside my window,
beginning at 7 a.m. I eventually managed to go back to sleep, slept badly,
overslept somewhat, and wound up forgetting to take medication and to bring
a jacket and my computer in to work. Left at 9:45 to see two blocks of
sidewalk removed...and nothing else going on, just sitting there.
I *hate* construction workers. This is at least the 8th time in the past
month that something like this has happened.

that is because they are out to get you, personally.
they revolve their whole work-shift around what would be a hassle to you.
havent you noticed it has been that way your whole life? that is because
you are so important that it drives other people in a jealous rage and
they want to spoil your life.
but now i've probably said too much...
but you already knew how important you were, right?

I see your 7am construction work and raise you 1/2 hour and several
months!
They have totally torn up my street and have made the vacant lot next
to my house their center of operations. A whole buch of guys arrive at
6:30am every morning and make all kinds of noise plus my dogs bark at
them which wakes up my roommate and turns her into a total bitch. I
asked the workers to take off their shirts and strut around in front of
my house in order to cheer her up but it didnt! Anyhow, I got a letter
in the mail and they will probably be done with this project by
November.

gah! I hate those!
Sometimes they just don't go away unless you sleep. Its the fun way to get
rid of a headache, in my opinion.
The doctor doesn't know what the rash on my arm is, but she gave me a steriod
cream to rub on it a few times a day to make it go away. Eh?

S'okay. I completely forgot both to reserve the room (there were two other
board meetings at Zing's tonight) and to post the meeting notice in the MOTD.
We had a quroum of board members there, just not all at one time, so we didn't
have an official meeting.

IBB I have a nasty powder burn from going to the range at work today and
firing about 30 rounds+ from a State Police Side Arm.. A Sig Sauer P228...
and at the end of my shift.. we found an old man who we'd been asked to do
a welfare check on... turns on the 86 year olds ticker decided to quit last
night... and we found him dead in an almost fetal position on his bed... poor
guy.. his ticker had finally quit after his stroke

You've got a tough job there, grimaldi.
I'm slightly bummed because I didn't notice what shift I was supposed
to work today. I was here before 8, but didn't have to come in until
10.
