Sounds pretty good, if that's a word - I can't find it within my limited
resources. (I can find "lurdane" - is that the same thing?)

From my OED (ok, I confess, its the shorter version, one volume, no magnifying
glass). Lurdan - a term of abuse, a sluggard, vagabond, loafer. Worthless,
ill-bred, lazy. From the French, lourd = heavy.
Its also archaic, and dialect.

But it's the ticket...

What, me again? Somebody guess the five-letter word soon, so I can be a
player too.
Meanwhile, I'm thinking of a six-letter word.
And, the bonus word is:

lurdan = 0

BUT pintle = 6. And I thought obscure sailing jargon would slow things down.
Phooey.  YEA RANE, you're it.

Heh...I've been sailing since 1950. I'm still at sea.....

So, I'm thinking of another 6 letter word...or will be shortly.I guess I
will give the "bonus word" too:

pintle (hmmm...what's a nice number? pi?....) Oh, let's say... 0
