The area has a whole to of underwater caves and overhangs which the sinking ngs
get cought on.

Well, caves and overhangs might make submarines dissapear, but you don't see
underwater overhangs at 30,000 feet too often...

It is also a site of waterspouts, which are like tornados, and electrical
storms. The storms wreak havoc with the instruments, and the waterspouts
