I have a location in mind and will be checking into dates
soon. Maybe in late May? I'd like to be pretty sure there
would be more than just a few folks willing to participate,
meaning perform. Sounds like this may work though.

I could probably talk Greg (flem) and Janette (nette) into a trumpet duet.

I'd enjoy being in the audience too. I'd especially like to see Jan give a
lecture. :)

I'd like to see a few more volunteer because there will no doubt
be a few who will be unable to show for one reason or another
when the date is selected and the time rolls around.

This need not be a musical performance. Does anyone have a story
they'd like to tell, a poem to read, a mime to present, a dance
that wouldn't require a lot of room and could be done on carpeting,
or some other talent that would be legal to display? ;-)

(I guess a fireworks display would be right out.)

I'd love to participate, Mary. I have a nice set of three songs
about love that were a hit at my recital, and I'd enjoy doing them
again. I'll need an accompanist, though.

I can type really fast, but I think this would not be a unique talent
among this crowd. "And for my next number, I'll be typing the Gettysburgh
Address with my pinkies tied to my thumbs...."

(I've never gotten to be a particularly good typist. I'm neither fast nor
accurate.)

Back on track, I can do basic guitar accompaniment (i.e. three or four chord
songs, unless you're willing to wait a few months ;) )

Ajax scores times four while engaged in bondage. I like it.
Leave the kids at home. ;-)

Thanks, Leslie, I was hoping you'd see this. And Matthew's
poetry should fit in quite nicely. Terrific.

(Actually, I could try to tackle some more ambitious stuff... I'm great at
playing, not-so-great at figuring out new tunes quickly)

Of course, if enough grexers had the proper hardware, they could hold a
grex CYBERrecital, which would be fitting, don't you think? :-)

I've gotten my CU-CMe (or however it's spelled) Internet video conferencing
setup working, except I don't have enough bandwidth for audio...not so good
for a recital. I hold up scrawled pieces of paper to communicate.

If a song has chords, I can play it on the guitar. I can't pick or do
classical, but I can play any chord I've ever heard of... :) I'd love to do
accompam`nyment on guitar, but I'm not up to a solo.

Actually, I need piano accompaniment, so I'll probably hire
someone.

I can play the piano, sing, or play a mallet instrument. Forget a solo,
though...I choke.  ;-}

I love playing the piano. As a matter of fact, the CBC just played a song
I'm working on now on the radio. But it was transposed to the marimba :(

I can sing, but I'll only sing with other people, not as a solo.
