raven - I've been a fan of Kate since 1988, and I'm truly pissed
off at your attitude.

Gerund's attitude? What aspect of it "pisses" you "off"?

For as much of a KT fan as I am, I would still have to say that her last
album wasn't very good. And "The Sensual World" was only about 1/2 good

My attitudue is fine, thank whomever.
I actually like Kate.
She is not, nor will she ever be, Tori.
And... In JUST my opinion Tori is much more talented.

Can we say.....DRIFT? Come on guys, 'tis Christmas, and I started this topic
because I like Tori Amos and I wanted to share thoughts with other people who
do too... Let's not fight over something which, when you look at it logically,
is a moot point. Who is better? Kate Bush or Tori Amos? Well, since it is a
matter of opinion, I don't think anyone really is qualified to make a
judgement. I know I am not.
Anyhow, I have received information that there is an album in existence
called "More Pink". If anyone knows what songs are on it, please post it here,
if I find out, I will post it here as well...
Oh, and just for the record, I do not 'lust after' Tori. I simply admire her
voice and I like her style. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night. ;)

heh.
I was introduced to Tori by hearing God.
The song, not the being.
The song particularly struck a note with me, and then when I heard Cornflake
Girl I was hooked. I only own "Under the Pink" right now, but I love it.

Re 30 - I, on the other hand, freely admit to lusting after Tori. >8)
I first heard of Tori, ironically, in the Kate Bush newsgroup on Usenet.
All of the Katefans there were ranting and raving about this wonderful
new artist called Tori Amos. Well, several months later, I was filling
out my CD club form, three for the price of one, I'd selected two
CDs and was scanning the order book looking for one more. And I saw
"Little Earthquakes". And I said, what the Hecate.
One of the best random decisions I ever made. >8)

Okay, in response to my own post, yet again...here are the songs included on
the "More Pink" album...
"A Case of You", "Honey", "Daisy Dead Petals", "Sister Janet", "Sugar",
"Take to the Sky", "Upside Down", "Flying Dutchman", "Here. In My Head (LIVE)"
"Black Swan", "Little Drummer Boy".
"More Pink, the B-Sides" can be found with the Australian and New Zealand 2CD
tour edition of "Under the Pink".
This album is worth it just for the last song.

Oopsy, I forgot to tell how I first stumbled into Tori. Well, I was in a music
store, Tower to be exact, when I saw one of her singles, "Crucify". It had
"Smells Like Teen Spirit" on it, and I thought it would be interesting to hear
another interpretation of it. So I snatched it, at the time it was $2.99 for
that CD. Well, I liked what I heard, and then as I was driving to school the
next morning I heard "God", and it was over with. That was all she wrote. I
was hooked. :)

Well, no one has been posting in here lately. So I guess I will post my latest
finding.... A box set. Finally! It is called "Pink Earthquakes" and it is
for collector's only. It contains a copy of "Under the Pink" as well as a book
FILLED with photographs and four postcards. The box is anywhere from $70.00
all the way up to $90.00.
As for what is she up to now? Last I heard...I believe she was finishing up
her world tour and then settling down for a while to possibly record another
album. :) Hooray! MORE Tori... :)

selling out? HA! Never!

Where did such blasphemy come from!??!?!
Tori is NO WHERE near a sell out.
She sings GOOD music about how she feels and sees things.
Why should cruddy screaming and fools with no talent become well known
and famous, and true talent like Tori's be ignored?
Just because she's become well known and recognized is no reason to
call her a sell out.
