I read it..but these riddles don't make sense to me.. I thought the "short
matches" meant that there were two pairs of shorts that were the same
size..color..and allah that.. heh.. I'm dumb.. someone find a riddle.

some of us are here but now very active
orinoco
response 38 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 14 02:06 UTC 1997

Others of us are very active indeed, but somewhere else.

The rest of us are only quasi-active, and not all here.

I know I'm not all here...

#33 WAS hiccups....
Ok, here's aone....

up...and, He did NOT shoot himself....how did he die?

response 40 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 16 01:58 UTC 1997

Well, if no one else will enter a riddle...

A man is trapped in his bathroom. The bath tub is quickly
filling up with water, and unfortunately, the man can't turn
the water off. The bathroom has no windows or vents, and the
door seems to be stuck. He calls for help, but there is no
one around to hear him. Despite this, he still manages to
survive. How?

Or it went something like that...

response 41 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 16 19:14 UTC 1997

#39 He was in a convertable (or however one spells it...)
Needless to say, the roof of his car was down when somebody
decided to shoot him in the head.

response 42 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 16 21:22 UTC 1997

#39 The killer has discovered the tricky, highly confidential, well guarded
secret of how to roll up car windows and close car doors. Amazing...

#40 I take it the point of the no-windows-or-vents bit is that nothing can
possibly leave the room?

Jennifer was the correct one.....
And, is the guy a fish...???
bopkins
response 44 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 16 23:10 UTC 1997

Yeah...the water has no way of leaving the room.
And no, I don't believe he was a fish...

response 45 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 17 12:12 UTC 1997

The "trick" answer is that the guy pulls out the drain plug, the clever answer
is that the guy grabs a bucket, and starts dumping bathwater into the toilet,
flushing it away.
bopkins
response 46 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 17 17:42 UTC 1997

Yep, you're right, he pulls the plug. :)
Your turn, I believe. :)

response 47 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 18 13:06 UTC 1997

Ummm... what do I have in my pockets? ;) ;) ;)

(I yield my opportunity)
orinoco
response 48 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 18 16:54 UTC 1997

scott--both of your solutions involve the water leaving the room. As bopkins
has stated, *the water has no way of leaving the room* (Response #44, I
belive)
bopkins
response 49 of 102: Mark Unseen   May 19 04:53 UTC 1997

When I said that the water had no way of leaving the room, I meant that
it couldn't escape through such ways as a window or vent. Sorry, I should
have been more specific. Anyway, the man did pull the plug in the tub.
