Gee, rereading my post and Arwen's and talking to Arwen for a bit face to
face, I guess I was just a wee teensy bit defensive, now wasn't I?
What I was trying to say:
For me, escapism involves disconnecting from the real world and not
looking back. I've done that; I've had people to pull me back. RPGs
involves a good deal of prep work (roll the dice, trolls has 5 hit points,
ogres have 6, yawn yawn yawn). RPGs are great fun for people who like them;
I prefer some fun with my fun. Playing dress-up and make-believe does not
RPGing make. For me, FuzCourt seemed like an interesting place to play
without immersing myself with the surreality of another reality. To be
truthful, it has seemed on Party a few times like people overdo it, but
if others want to use this for escapism, or whatever, it's up to them.
That's their space; that's not the space I want to get in, and I'm
actively avoiding that space. Fuzzy, I just wanted *you* to know that
I, for one, never intended to give off that particular impression.
(That's still probably not exactly what I wanted to say, but it's
closer.)
I have also had some stuff happen on a personal level which would have
made disappearing into FuzCourt and never looking back extremely
tempting, which is why I've been quiet lately. But, hey kids...
I'm back!

I really just wante dto say that I entered this thinking it was just
a game, and didn't think that it was meant to be at all serious. But,
I must say, that I didn't make up the Goddess Eve, I don't really
worship her, but I know of her. Just wanted to say that...

my way around.

in a swamp, DDQ exits stage left in a fit of coughing)

Um...fuz? I too want to restate my intention to live in your court as you
would have me live here. (Given some rather obvious things that I won't change
such as who I sleep with <giggle>) I LIKE IT HERE DAMNIT!!!!!!! sorry Let's
set down or up some rules. I am really a witch. Really. Just look in synth.
I have been Wiccan for twelve years at least. I have been a lesbian for longer
<grin>. I know squat about bat's wings and purple toad soup. I am sorry and
was just blowing off steam at Tessa. Please discourse with us. Dr
Kwick....play with us and have fun. I still think that this is one of the best
cf's on this BBS!

Lady Arwen,
I'm definately along for the ride. But one favor please,
Dr. D. Kwicks-Oat comes from 1) my self-appointed Dr. and
2) the english pronunciation of Don Quixote. So please call
me DDQ for short. (Or by any of the other pseudonyms I go
by-Chaos Master, Doc Wa-Nna-Be, Chem.Skald@Large, ...)
Thanx Much,
DDQ
*8-)
(Dropping another flask to the floor, putrid smoke wafts
around DDQ again as he slips to the floor with a slips
WAM. He is last seen being carted off stage right.)

Normally I don't care what people call me but about a month ago
a sordid series of (almost) illegal events occured that ended
making Dr Kwick (or Dr Kwicky) have more meaning than I care
to have attached to my name. I'm not pristine, just picky
about the type of dirt attached to my name (or person).
Thanx f'r lis'nen,
DDQ

I really am a witch too. And in a way, a werewolf. Arwen knows what I
mean when I say that everyone, in their own way, is a werewolf.
(wink wink nudge nudge say no more)

How this for drift?
But what I think is the fundamental problem with the Cartesian view
is his reliance on the possibility of a deceptive demon. His analysis
that reality could exists necessarily hinges on the possibility that
it doesn't, which strikes me as ominously circular.

a Ph.D? At 16? I need to get a focus from you. What
are your visions? For Fuzcourt realm?

Fuz I created the werewolves to be the kings protectors, and royal guard loyal
to the end. I named them the werewolves as I myself am a werewolf, if member
take it upon themselves to become a lycanthrope then that is fine by me. If
humans and any others wish to be involved in the guard then by all means say
so. It matters not wather you are a lycanthrope or not, just so long as you
are honest, loyal, a good fighter, and true to the king then by all means
apply. If your not a good fighter apply to the soliders.

No, I do not convert into a wolf every full moon. But, on a Jungian level,
we *all* have werewolf sides to us, the animal side to us expressed in
Stevenson's Jekyll and Hyde, and in other works as well. On the inside,
we are all werewolves.
